Game 1
2nd July v Kowloon select
51 - 15 win
The second third saw three more tries from the tourists, all of which were converted by Rupert Monroe, while the opposition scored only one.
The final third saw three more Oundle tries, despite the persistent heat and humidity, finishing with a well executed backs move to put man of the match Danny Clements in the corner to score. The opposition were able to ground two more tries, bringing the final score to 51 - 15.; an excellent result for the first game of the tour, although, as ever, there is still plenty to work on.

Game 2
10th July v Hutchins (Tas)
15 - 0 win
Oundle produced a solid display to win their first pool game of the Melbourne tournament. Charlie Rose scored two tries and Tom Spencer scored one in a thirty minute match.
Game 3
10th July v St Thomas (SL)
27 - 5 win
Oundle put in their second solid display of the day to beat an inexperienced Sri Lankan side fairly comfortably. There were five different try scorers and Bishop produced one conversion.
Game 4
10th July v Melbourne Grammar School
5 - 5 draw
This was a game that Oundle should have won with ease. They went five points up just after the break when Oughtred cliamed a high ball and put Rose in. However, with only seconds to go the hosts scored a breakaway try to draw the game level. Oundle missed many chances and should have scored three or four tries. It meant that they progressed through to the semi final in second spot and therefore play the winners of pool B, Shore School from Sydney.
Game 5
12th July v Shore School, Sydney
5 - 13 loss
Oundle suffered a first defeat of the tour, which cost them a place in the final of the tournament. A strong start produced several chances, however, none of these were taken. Two kicks from in front of the posts were missed as were a couple of chances out of hand. The pressure finally produced a score as Brook finished a good move. Oundle held firm until moments before half time when the strong Shore pack managed a push over try to leave the score even at half time. The Shore pack started to dominate in the second half and an early penalty put them three points ahead, this was followed shortly by another push over try and Oundle were in trouble. The spirit in the camp was fantastic and they kept going hard at Shore. Rose came very close with ten minutes remaining but, it was not to be for Oundle. There was lots of effort and commitment but not quite the quality to finish the game off against a very strong side. They take on the hosts once more tomorrow in a full seventy minute match in a fight for third place.
