On the 29th June thirty one pupils and four members of staff will be flying out to Hong Kong and then on to Australia for what will be the tour of a lifetime. The boys will play six games, do some intense training and experience the culture of Hong Kong and Australia.
I always believe that an overseas tour brings out the very best in players. As the well trodden saying goes "touring doesn't make characters, it reveals them!" Touring the Antipodes always brings its own very unique challenges, not least the fact that all the opponents are hell bent on showing "The Poms" how rugby is played! This in itself makes the games highly competitive and thrilling. The experiences gained on this forthcoming trip and the friendships forged will last a lifetime and I am sure the boys will cherish these memories for years to come.
The boys have worked very hard both in their efforts to raise money for kit and during some fairly gruelling training sessions to get to this point, where departure is just around the corner.
